Fired, passed over, false accusations

1 post

You're not alone.

If this sounds familiar:

โ€œGot fired after a group complained to HR. None of it was true but they believed them without even asking me. Lost everything I built there. Felt like I was drowning. Realizing I wasn't crazy and wasn't aloneโ€”that made a difference.โ€

โ€” Anonymous, 34

What helps most:

  • โ†’Talk to others who've been through it
  • โ†’Document everything - keep records of communications
  • โ†’Know your rights - some situations may have legal recourse
  • โ†’Update resume and start networking (even when you don't feel ready)
  • โ†’Focus on what you can control right now
  • โ†’Remember: being qualified doesn't always matter anymore, but that doesn't mean you're not valuable

What do you want to do?

Crisis help

24/7 support when you need it now

If any of this sounds familiar:

You were more qualified but watched someone else get the position

Skills and experience don't always determine outcomes anymore

A hiring manager told you privately they wanted to hire you, but HR overrode the decision

Hiring managers often lose control of final hiring decisions

You can't talk about what you're experiencing without being labeled or dismissed

The inability to name the problem is part of the problem

You're not imagining it. These are real patterns men experience. Your feelings are valid.
